Nearly 52 million subscribers of military-run telecommunications firm Viettel had their phone numbers switched from 11 digits to 10 digits, Viettel announced on Sunday.
Vietnam’s commitments to increase foreign equity caps in the telecommunications sectors under the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) will ease European investors to enter the country’s industry.
According to the United Nations, Vietnam has made progress in its e-government ranking, currently standing 88th among 193 countries and territories worldwide and sixth out of the 11 countries in ASEAN. To date, all ministries, sectors and localities in Vietnam have developed websites or portals with updated information, which fundamentally meet the communication and management requirements of the State.
SpeedTest, the global leader in fixed broadband and mobile network testing applications, data and analysis, has rated Viettel the fastest mobile internet service provider in Việt Nam.
